The Peddler's Square
View Floor Plan - In case you get lost, this will help you find your way around.
More of a rectangle than a square, The Peddler's Square gained its name from the innumerable peasants that would crowd the street, making it nigh impossible to pass with horse cart, or even upon a lone stallion. Often enough, these desperate beggars would fall victim to panicked hooves, and in vain attempts to peddle their worthless goods met their brutal deaths.

Decades since then, the guards forced these armies of knaves back to their alleyways, now leaving the square open for more respectable men and women to stroll about, making their ways to restaurants or markets for quality entertainment and goods.

"Damnit."

The words slipped, echoed and fell awkwardly silent. Albeit few stares, Revjaille`was crucified none though seemed little worried by it. He had been tricked and wandered into a less than graceful portion of a town. The old peddler would paid, Revjaille` thought to himself but cast the thought aside. He was without a shirt, being his first priority, and without lodging. The problem presented did nothing for his increasing irritation, masked by a steely, hardened face. He was a soldier, bred on the fields; No one would notice, save for his outburst.

Spun, pivoted on heels, Revjaille` was on the move again. His search was vital. A shirt, he mused, despite the stares he got; To his satisfaction. He grinned. However, within his move he found nothing of interest. High-end, pricey clothing, the usual you'd find in a castle town, but this. It was a slum. Litter in the streets, void of activity aside from filthy dealers in the alley ways. Revjaille` was in disgust. Boasted to be grand, it was garbage. He returned to the square, dissatisfied, though despite it all, he would wander out of town.

"Does anyone want to buy wood? Wood and crops? And some precious stones?" Freya asked the array of people. "One hundred, fifty four wood. Three quartz. Three topaz. Fourty crops." She offered, a little timidly.

That sounded really good. "One thousand for all?" She asked, stepping up. She could use crops to feed herself and her horse. And topaz and quartz for spells perhaps. Wood... well, she might be able to figure something out.

Freya smiled. "That sounds fine." She said. She desperately needed money to forge some of her weapons. She took out the box of the wood and crops, and placed it on the ground between them. "Thank you."

"Thank you." Kestrel echoed, taking out a bag of coins and handing them to her, gathering the crate. It was hefty, that was sure. She'd need Govad to take it.

Kestrel stroked Govad, gently placing her hands on the stallion's side. She swung herself up expertly, and seated herself neatly atop the animal. Se stroked the agitated horse's neck, whispering to calm him. "Govad... it's alright."
