Strong: Every attack will do an extra 5 damage - basically, your character\'s body becomes a weapon. Also, you will be able to carry 20kg more in your inventory than other characters. Sturdy: Your character will absorb 10 damage from every attack against it - its body becomes armour. Also, your character will have a maximum health 10 points higher than other characters. Swift: Combat rolls will be raised by 25 points. Furthermore, other rolls, such as lockpicking, pickpocketing, etc, will receive minor increases of between 5 and 10 points.Explorer: As an explorer, you will be able to regain fatigue quicker, at a rate of 40 fatigue per hour while sleeping. Furthermore, you will have access to the ability to cook wherever and whenever, with various ingredients that you can collect in the wild (herbs, berries, meats).
Spellsword: With skills in both physical combat and spell casting, a spellsword is able to cast various spells to aid him or her in combat.Archer: Your character will be as proficient with a bow as any normal character is with typical melee weapons - however, this extra skill comes with a price. Your character will only have 75% of the roll for melee combat tied to their social ranking.Savvy: Your character will be able to make up to 24 gold per post, instead of just 14 gold. (This is by writing a post of 150 words) Also, your character will have an extra 25 points to its roll against being pickpocketed.Stealthy: Your character will be able to sneak around; by sneaking, it will be able to get by guards and into locked rooms, and it no one will be able to see where the character moves. Also, depending on what you choose, you may find towns in dire need of what services you alone can provide. Mind you, these bonuses will only come into affect once you are hired in the building related to the trade. These buildings will be listed in the skill's description.

Miner/Gatherer: A normal player has 6 attempts each hour to harvest a resource while mining, with a 40% chance per attempt. A player that has the miner skill will have 10 attempts per hour, with a 60% chance for each. A normal player\'s NPCs will have 3 attempts at 40%, while a miner\'s NPCs will have 6 attempts at 40%. Must be hired at a Mining Depot in order for this skill to be activated. Builder: All characters can build many types of structures - however, only a trained builder may construct higher level buildings, such as palaces, fortresses, guard towers and the like. Builders also are not charged for labour (the extra gold cost to build a structure). Must be hired at a Construction Yard in order for this skill to be activated. Blacksmith: Normal characters can work with basic metals, but only a skilled blacksmith may manipulate steel and alabastrite bars. Must be hired in a Forge in order for this skill to be activated.Soldier/Guard: A trained soldier will gain a 10 point bonus to their roll. Must be hired at a Barracks in order for this skill to be activated.
Medic: When healing users, a specially trained medic spends his health and mana points differently from regular users. A normal user heals at the price of 1 mana point and 1 health point per every point healed on another user. A medic, however, spends their mana points first (at a rate of 4 mana points per 1 point healed), then 1 health point per point healed. Basically, a trained medic can heal a user for up to 25 points without bringing harm to themselves.Must be hired at a Hospital in order for this skill to be activated.Cook: Through personal connections, fine haggling techniques and skill, a cook can reproduce fine meals at 4/5ths of the cost. (Applies only to restocking food, not introducing them to the menu). Must be hired at a Restaurant in order for this skill to be activated.Shopkeeper: Through personal connections and fine haggling techniques, shopkeeper can manage to restock their catalogue at 4/5 the price. Must be hired at a Shop in order for this skill to be activated.

'; } if (!getInfo(personal, users,"WHERE id='$userId'")) { echo "Personal Skill: Leaving every character to conform to a list of seven possible civic skills is a foolish thing to do - it limits creativity and makes the populus with which you will interact stiff and boring. So, we offer you on top of the civic skills, a set of \"Personal Skills\", which modify your character to make it more useful in certain fields of work, or to spread its abilities out slightly. Consider it as a major and minor in a university situation. Your best employment opportunities will come from your civic skill, but your personal skill can either enhance it or push into a new field, in case no jobs turn up when you start off.

Explorer: With a fine endurance and knowledge of all the smallest trails, an explorer can manage to cut their travel times in half (travel on roads) Sailor: Finding themselves most at home upon the sea, a skilled sailor can navigate in any condition, rendering travel times to be twice as fast. Rider: With a good feel for the terrain - however harsh it may be - a skilled rider can cut the travel time of a caravan in half.Hunter: Able to make do with what one has is a valuable asset. A well trained hunter can forge weapons and armour from bone and fur, and even combine it with other metals to create some of the best wares available.
Jester: Not necessarily a foolish looking clown, a jester is someone with the uncanny ability to distract others, even in the most troubling situations. While they are terrible fighters on their own (a jester will have only half the roll of their normal rank), they are valuable assets in a group, with the ability to bother opponents so much that they fail to defend themselves. A jester can lower a selected user\'s defensive roll by up to 50 points. However, while they distract, they too are left vulnerable.Bard: A bard is one skilled with instruments - whether it be the lyre, the lute, or their own voice. They can often use this skill to put all those around them to sleep. A bard can lower the fatigue of those in the room by up to 50 points. Still, as those who are musically inclined often neglect their physical training, a bard will have only half the roll of any other character of their rank.Slaver: A slaver is a man or woman with the specific talent of breaking spirits. Taking this personal skill will allow your character to capture and enslave any unconscious or immobilized NPCs, including wild animals and creatures.Drunk: Before you turn away from this skill immediately, realize that such a skill can prove to be quite valuable. Having spent their lives drinking sorrows away, or simply to liven up every night, drunks find themselves less affected by alcohol. Because of this, they only experience half the intoxication affects of any alcohol. This leaves them to enjoy the healing qualities of alcoholic beverages, which are cheaper to produce than normal food.
