The Elder Sequoia
View Floor Plan - In case you get lost, this will help you find your way around.
Heart of the village and it's protector, massive breaches of the sky scraping tree spread out over the many smaller sequoia that served as buildings to encompass the village to it's limits. The branches were each thick with golden sequoia cones, which shone brilliantly in the light of the sun, and glimmer in moonbeam.

An archway was formed at the front of the Elder Sequoia leading to the dirt path, elvish runes bearing the appearance of crystal burned into the ground around it.

Within, one would be filled with an overwhelming sense of tranquility - elven magic thick in the air to produce such a sensation.

Sleeping bags, cots and other assorted materials lay inside for wayward, wandering souls in need of a safe haven.

Coming up before Kyle Napsac, the bear reared back onto its hind legs, throwing its arms up; the display of the sheer gargantuan nature of the beast, coupled with the gut-wrenching growl that boomed from its gullet was enough to terrify the bravest of war veterans, who prided themselves in staring down an entire army without so much as a flinch. Lunging forth, the bear snapped its mouth at one of Kyle Napsac's arms, tearing into the bicep with its saw-like teeth, shredding the tissue of the muscle like a rusty blade through a thick steak.

Kayle flinched as his blade slapped the furry side of the large Brown Bear. 'Freaking A man!' Glaring he bounced back, hopping to back up as far as he could as he danced the dance of potential death. Why had he done this? Now he faced the possibility of death! He ground his teeth and then licked his cracked lips, this was going to be a costly battle. He could see it now. The sunshine glint off the flat surface of the blade Carl. He had no choice but to fight, and now the normal white light from the blade was tinted by red. At least he knew he hit his mark. Darting forward again he lashed out [/attack1] trying to hut the bears shoulder. Swallowing nervously he turned and did a small spin, whether it helped him or not was a mystery. One thing he knew for certain, he couldn't just stand around! Looking at the bear's furious face he jabbed his sword out. [/attack2]

Truth be told, the village was not in a state of disrepair, for the village was built into the hollow of still living trees. Farms not rotted from lack of care, for the fruits of the land grew plentiful and wild. And, most importantly, the elf had never departed from his lands, simply keeping a peaceful, content life within the silence of the scarcely populated forest village.

Which is why it came as something of a surprise to him when the scent of fire, smoke and ash roused him from his meditation, so eagerly it licked at the air surrounding the village. No moment was spared in his efforts to climb atop Melan and gallop out into the village, the remaining villagers thankfully having dealt with most of the fires, but there was still the matter of the Elder Sequoia. There, by the heart of the village, stood that figure that looked so eerily familiar.

"You have returned, simply to strike this act of madness against this one's village?", roared the elf in a fury unseen by many. "You death will come as swift and unforgiving as the winter winds." Whether Kyuro attempted to run or not, it would not matter. Melan would gallop forth towards the poor fool, Shaolin Spade twirled at his side with the blurring speed of a raging tornado charging right for Kyudo's form. Cold steel would strike with a series of strikes that would tear through flesh and bone alike, leaving Kyudo a miserable puddle of blood and skin upon the floor.
